Community Relief and Development (CRDF)
Community Relief and Development (CRDF) was established in 2007 in response to increasing levels of poverty and deprivation among rural based households in Western Zambia. CRDF is registered by the Government’s Registrar of Societies as a non-profit, Non-Governmental, relief, development and child focused Organisation under certificate number ORS/102/02/420.
Vision, Mission and Goal
4.1. Vision:
Community Relief and Development Foundation envisions an empowered and economically secure community whose people utilize sustainable means to continuously enhance the quality of their lives through equal opportunities and good governance.
4.2: Mission Statement:
Community Relief and Development Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged poor community members through capacity building in sustainable livelihoods and increased access to basic social services. CRDF works and assists the needy and neglected people at grass root level to gain access to good governance in the society with due dignity. CRDF therefore, facilitates economic empowerment for poverty eradication.
4.3: Goal:
To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable people in rural communities of Western Province of Zambia socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions specially the women and children/youths.

CRDF works directly with the grassroots of disadvantaged households and communities and focuses on poverty reduction strategies that embrace sustainability as a key concept in the project cycle. The mode of delivery is through environmental, social and economic sustainability of livelihood systems derived from CRDF’s thematic areas.
