3. A project to empower women in Sesheke was implemented in 2010 this was done by giving lessons in savings and investment as well as business management, many women took part and amongst them is Mrs. Kalaluka. She is a widow raising 7 children, life was very hard for her and her family as they could not sustain themselves. After receiving some knowledge and revolving funds from CRDF, Mrs. Kalaluka started a business. She opened a shop in which she sales various goods like Groceries, cooking oil, tomatoes, vegetables etc. The business has boomed and has been able to improve the livelihood of her family as well as pay school fees for her children.
